The Manila Ocean Park can now boast that it is the only place in the Philippines to host a Penguin habitat.
The “tropical” Humboldt penguins have been housed in a habitat, complete with nesting burrows, a rocky shore, and an indoor pool to allow them to frolic undisturbed in the water; a delight for all visitors.
Humboldt penguins are one of 18 known species, which live in warm, dry climates and their home at Manila's Ocean Park is kept at a steady 20 - 22 degrees Celsius.
In addition, the Park has a Snow Village, which replicates a typical Antarctic community and visitors can frolic in the snow in a room kept at subzero temperatures; a visit to the Antarctic without stepping on a plane
