Jaro prides itself with its lavish fiesta where 35 masses are held on the 2nd of February for the devotees of Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, the only rose among the male collection of saints that adorn the walls of the cathedral. This was taken from Museo De Iloilo in the center of city proper and at the back is the Provincial Capitol of Iloilo. The structures is composed with different artworks and history. Iloilo is about 2-3 hours travel from Roxas City my hometown. Please see pictures below:

Guimaras Provincial Capitol

Guimaras [ɡimaˈɾas] is an island province of the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. Among the smallest provinces, its capital is Jordan. The island is located in the Panay Gulf, between the islands of Panay and Negros. To the northwest is the province of Iloilo and to the southeast is Negros Occidental.

The province includes the islands of Guimaras and Inampulugan and many smaller islands.^[1]

Guimaras was a sub-province of Iloilo 

until it was made an independent province on May 22, 1992.
